Meet the Teacher Behind Nanaimo Writing Courses

I hold a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Elementary Education from the University of British Columbia, with a focus on teaching students in grades 3–7. With over 25 years of experience as an English tutor, I have developed and taught group lessons as well as private sessions to improve reading and writing skills. My training emphasized curriculum development and strategies to help students become confident, capable learners. As a Nanaimo tutor, I take pride in helping local students succeed by tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs. I have a deep understanding of the BC curriculum and am passionate about empowering students to achieve their full potential.

Written a series of fantasy books and reading guides in the hi-lo style. These are for reluctant readers who are reading at the grade 3.5 – 4 level but are between the ages of 10 – 15. These are written under the pen name of Morgan Fenn.

Co-founded Tutors on Call in Vancouver, BC, and expanded it across Canada. Developed curriculum and managed hundreds of programs for students ranging from kindergarten to university.

Created the curriculum and taught small group courses to students from grades 3 – 8 that focused on building writing and reading skills.

Completed a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in teaching grades 3 – 7 reading and writing skills.

Provided one-on-one lessons to students from grades 3 – 9 with the focus on building reading and writing skills.
